His name is Stevie and nope he's not mine. He belongs to the FBIL (future brother in law). Which probably makes Stevie my FDIL - with the D standing for dog! :oP
I've never had a dog or even been exposed to doggies. But since we found ourselves in an emergency dog sitting situation, I had no choice but to step up to the plate.
And so it was that I found my dress wearing high-heeled self taking Stevie for a walk today. Mind you I'm pretty sure to the outside world it looked like I was being walked. I spent most of my lunch hour running after Stevie. In heels. Oy vey! lol
Seriously though, we've only had the little guy with us for a day and I can already see the health benefits I would derive from being a puppy owner. Even in the dead of winter I'd be forced to get out and go on long frigid weather walks.
Stevie is only going to be here a week but hopefully that will be long enough for me to be completely sold on this puppy idea. Now if only my landlord would get on side! :oP
Do you own a dog? Do you find a pet has made you lead a healthier lifestyle?

Dogs are cute and all but I don't think I could ever own one. I am pretty good about going to the gym so I'd rather just do that then go outside in the freezing cold. Also I have some friends at work with dogs, no after work drinks for them- they have to run home and let the dog out. Life is busy enough I don't need any more responsibilities :)
Love your response to my post. I have not come across that conversation yet but it annoys me just thinking about it. My parents would kill me if I eloped and I actually like them so I take that into consideration when making decisions! Plus you only get to have a wedding once!
Our place is too small for a dog and Arizona is too hot for most outside pets. So we have a parrot. He's taught me to be patient and motivates me to clean messes around the house more (since he's responsible for a good part of it!) :)
He's SO cute!! :) How fun for you!
I wish I could have a dog but I can't where I live :(
We had a dog when I was a kid, and I always enjoyed having one around, but they are much more high maintenance than some other pets. You can definitely get health benefits from any pets you have around - they are great stress relievers :)
