Pimp that Blogger Bake Sale!

As many of you know Meghann of the Inner Workings of a College Graduate is hosting another blogger bake sale with all the proceeds going towards her efforts on behalf of Team in Training in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

What's the date for the bake sale? April 6th!!! (NOT March as I had originally written)

Be sure to head on over to Meghann's site and bid on some wonderful goodies. You want some blondies? Veggiegirl can take care of that! Coconut Macaroons? Fitnessista to the rescue! Challah bread? Mara is your girl!

As for me - I'll be baking too! :o) I'm the only Canadian in the bake sale. Meaning only Canadian citizens can bid on my goodies. Be sure to head over and bid away - lest my mom have to buy my baked goods! lol

And what am I baking? Reverse Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut Cookies! YUM!

These one are a perennial favourite whenever I make them. For a couple of Christmases in a row they've been a huge hit. In fact I do believe it's what my ex-roomie most misses about me! lol

Want to see pictures?

This is an underneath shot! Look at how chock full of chocolate and macadamia nuts the cookie is!! Yummers!

A cross section of the cookie and more proof of it's yuminess! BTW the cookies were fresh out of the oven when I took these. I should have probably let them set a little bit more before their photo shoot! :oP

So mark your calendar bloggies - on April 6th, 2009 head on over to Meghann's site and bid on the Blogger Bake Sale!

Yummy eats! A great cause! And happy tummies!!!

Mmmm, chocolate & macadamia nut cookies. They look heavenly.

I would have participated in the bake sale, but alas, I now lack a working oven, and don't know when it will be fixed/replaced, so it's a good thing I didn't offer.

Run Sarah,

Yeah it's an awesome idea! Meghann had one of these sales a couple of months ago and she managed to raise over $1000USD!

Marianne,

Boo for an oven that doesn't work! :o( Oh the joys of renting . . . I have a dishwasher I don't use anymore because it just bakes the stains on! lol

Krista,

Here's hoping! :o)

Meghann,

EEEK!!! I must have been tired when I wrote that. It's fixed now. Thankfully at the bottom of the original post I had managed to put the right date.

Sharon,

LOL Yeah the boy got to reap the benefits of the photo shoot cookies! :oP

ashley,

I live near the U.S. border and actually have a U.S. P.O. box. I was considering stopping by customs next week to see how they would feel about me walking my cookies over and shipping them from the U.S. Post Office.

But then I'd feel guilty about depriving Canadians from the only baked goodies they can actually bid on. Mmmm . . .

If you want we could always have a blogger exchange! :o) Cookies could come in your package!

Sarah,

AHAHAH that comment made my day! :oP

I'll have to let you know what the U.S. Border Patrol guys say. Maybe they'll be nice and let me walk them across and ship them from the Post Office at the border!
