It's Award Time Again!!!

Oh bloggies - can you believe my internet at home has been down for over a day!??! :oO lol Oh the travesty!

The cable guy is still fiddling around with things outside so hopefully I won't lose my connection again. Better make it speedy!!

Let's recap yesterday's eats! Then keep on reading for AWARD TIME!

Breakfast yesterday was made up of a White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie courtesy of Jenn (btw it's her birthday today - Happy Birthday Bender) and our blogger exchange:

Do you see that icing!??! Yum! This Clif bar was new to me and it was really good! In fact it felt like a really indulgent treat! :o)

For lunch I ran home and sauteed up some tempeh with spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms. I then placed some spoonfuls of that in the middle of butter lettuce leaves. Kind of like a wrap:

After lunch I went back to work and happily worked away for a while. Until one of my co-workers walked in with his WAY TOO adorable daughter. She's a girl guide. And in her cute little voice she asked me if I wanted to buy girl guide cookies. Oh the ploy!!!! lol :oP

Needless to say I gave in and bought a box - then I quickly ate two of the vanilla ones. I gave away half of the box to my co-workers and the fiance will get the other half:

Dinner consisted of yet another huge salad! I don't know if you bloggies can really appreciate how big my salad bowl is but it's kind of massive. Friday night dinner saw the return of my mixed greens topped with a Bolthouse Farms blue cheese pear vinaigrette. On top of that I had three grilled meat skewers (two beef and one lamb):

After this lovely salad I came to a realization. When I eat meat (but not when I eat seafood) I feel weighed down and bloated. :o( But when I eat raw or vegetarian food I don't feel that way. Gasp! Maybe there's something to being mostly vegetarian. But shhhhh don't tell my steak-loving side! lol

And now for Award Time . . .

Yesterday the lovely Marianne (of From French Fries to Flax Seeds) blessed me with the wonderful Renee Award:

The Renee Award is one of the most meaningful awards in blog world because it honors someone who is incredibly inspirational in her intelligent and witty writing. And by doing so, this award celebrates women’s smart, strong and inspirational spirit! It honors women who spread joy and love like an Acorn……a small package growing into a tall and sturdy oak tree which gives more acorns…………..

Needless to say I was beyond thrilled when I received this award - in fact Marianne made my Friday morning! :o) Thank-you so much Marianne!!!!! If you hadn't already given me the award I'd give it back to you! lol But since I have to choose some new recipients . . .

I pass on the Renee Award to three bloggers that inspire me, make me laugh, and write awesome blogs:

Leah of Simply Fabulous

Sarah of Run Sarah

Danica of Chic Runner

Whew! I made it without my internet cutting out. Best not push my luck - besides I've had some random wanderings planned for this beautiful Rocky Mountain weekend. In fact I may go away for the weekend (impromptu trip). I'll be back tomorrow with pictures bloggies!

Enjoy your weekend and don't forget to give LOTS of love to all the moms in your life!

Awww - thank-you! :oD That makes me happy!

And I checked the Girl Guide of Canada website (lol yeah I'm geeky like that) and apparently the cookies are available from March-June. So don't give up hope yet!

Erin,

Yup it's the same thing. Funny it's boy scouts in Canada but girl guides. It never occurred to me that they were scouts too! :oP

Run Sarah,

You're most welcome! :o) I hope you had a wonderful outing with your mom and your FMIL too!

Vanilla is my favourite Girl Guide cookie. I wish they sold them alone, without all the chocolate ones.

Marianne,

And I wish they sold the vanilla ones only but without the filling. It just gets in the way! LOL :oP
