There's No Place Like Home!

I won't lie bloggies - it felt very good to be home. I slept in really late, more or less had control over what I ate, and I got to snuggle into my own bed at night.

When I got home on Saturday night I was just beat. As a result I managed to seriously sleep in on Sunday morning. Left to my own devices I could have easily slept most of the day away. Eventually I did wake up but by then it was too late for breakfast! lol :oP

Given that we had a lot of errands to run we just headed out the door and decided to eat out. The fiance was all excited to head to a local Mexican Cantina. I didn't put up a fight (still sleepy) and ended up with this on my plate:

A taco salad, without the dressing, and with the shell left behind once I was done. So really it was just lettuce with a bit of cheese, roasted peppers, and about 1/3 of a chicken breast. I was hungry really soon thereafter! We were so busy running around I didn't have time to eat again until I snacked on a Roger's Chocolate while I cooked up dinner. YUM!

I brought these chocolates back from Vancouver. The fiance was absolutely thrilled to see the box when I got back home. You see Roger's Chocolate is originally from Victoria. So in essence I was bringing a bit of home to him.

In fact the fiance was SO excited he asked me to take a picture of his brittle (above) to share with you on the blog! lol :oP Cute fiance!

Dinner was yet another big salad. This time loaded down with pear vinaigrette, mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, and a big ol' steak!!!!

The steak was oh so good!!! lol What can I say? I'm thoroughly a meatatarian (;o)) and last week I barely had any protein. What better way to make up for a lack of protein goodness than with a yummy steak salad!

So those were my Sunday eats (except for a night time banana - not picture)! Oh and guess what was waiting for me when I got back from my work trip?

Goodies from Sephora - yaaaaaaaaaaayyy!!!!!!!!!!!! :o) Now if you excuse me I have to go get ready for work and test drive some of those wonderful products!

See you tonight bloggies!

Having serious problems posting here....damn you blogger!

Mmmm steak. Can't go wrong with a good steak every once in a while.

And I will have to check Sephora out once they open their new location at the mall near the 'rents.

So, this is a friend of mine, Lindsay Moreno. She's an awesome photog...and is "giving away" a free wedding session...for travel. (for a destination wedding) Her Hubs, Beto is from Mexico and they try to go back every chance they get. Just thought I'd pass it on!

Leah,

I have! But only the mineral veil which I got as a full-sized sample from Sephora. When I first tried it I was super doubtful it would work but it was WONDERFUL!

Sarah,

lol I think I'm going to have to do a full-on Sephora goods review soon! PS: The whipped coconut butter is AMAZING! So good I've given up using my Philosophy Amazing Grace firming cream.

Sharon,

Urban Decay primer, eh!? I'm going to have to look into that! :oP

Marianne,

lol I'm glad you share my love of meat. An equal opportunities meat lover indeed! :o)

That Pink Girl,

Yaaaay thanks for the heads up! I'll head over there! :o)

Coco,

Yeah it made sleeping in my own bed all the sweeter. Even if I was staying in Fairmont Hotels!
